Actor Vijay will next be seen in a gangster action thriller titled Leo and the movie is gearing up to hit theater screens on October 19, 2023 for Dusshera. After an all-English theme track titled Bloody Sweet, a first single from the movie titled Naa Ready is all set to release, and the Tamil song will release for Vijay's birthday on June 22, 2023. 

The Naa Ready song has been shot on a grand scale with over 2000 dancers, and the number was filmed for over 1 week. Dance master Dinesh has choregraphed this number, and besides Vijay, actors Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Madonna Sebastin and Mansoor Ali Khan are all part of this song. 

Composed by Anirudh, Naa Ready will drop on Sony Music South's YouTube channel this Thursday. The song's announcement poster which was unveiled last Friday has already brought Vijay under the scanner for posing with a lit cigarette. Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss who has been a vocal against all things smoking/tobacco took to twitter to condemn (translated from Tamil), 

"Actor Vijay should avoid acting in smoking scenes! It is sad that the first poster of Leo movie features actor Vijay smoking. Children and students watch movies starring actor Vijay. They too should not be lured into the habit after seeing him act in a smoking scene. He (Vijay) also has a social responsibility to protect the public from smoking. That is what the law says too.  So, actor Vijay should refrain from doing smoking scenes in movies like he promised in 2007 and 2012. #SmokingKills #SayNoToTobacco" 

 

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is touted to be the third movie in the filmmaker's cinematic universe known as the LCU. It takes place before the events of Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram (2022), which inturn takes place after the events of Karthi starrer Kaithi (2019).
