Director, producer P. Arumugakumar of 7C's Entertainment has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi on movies like Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren (2018) and Laabam (2021). The Arumugakumar-Vijay Sethupathi duo have united once again for 7C's Entertainment's production No: 5, and the film which is the lead star's 51st, has kickstarted in Malaysia with an official pooja ceremony.

This yet to be titled project as Kannada actress Rukimini playing female lead, and Yogi Babu in an important role. Arumugakumar is also reuniting with music composer Justin Prabhakaran for Vijay Sethupathi 51 (tentative title).
