PS-2 went on to do exceptionally well in the next 2 days, especially in overseas locations and the film's worldwide gross at the end of day 3 stands at a whopping Rs. 176. 25 Cr.

Overseas, Ponniyin Selvan 2 had its highest opening in North America, followed by the UAE and Malaysia. The film also did significantly well in UK and Australia.
