Prince is an upcoming rom-com starring Sivakarthikeyan and debutante Maria Ryaboshapka that is all set to release in theaters on October 21, 2022 in Tamil, Telugu. During the pre-release event of Prince, actor Sivakarthikeyan light-heartedly spoke about the communication gap between him and Ukranian National Maria who he said came to the sets knowing very little about Tamil. He also joked that both his and her English were so limited that when she joined the sets on his birthday, the actress asked, "How old are you?", Sivakarthikeyan interpreted this as "How are you?" and replied "I'm fine".
Sivakarthikeyan revealed that despite Maria repeating her question, he still couldn't understand and gave the same answer that day. The actor also light-heartedly said that their communication didn't improve one bit till the movie completion but was amazed that the actress could understand director Anudeep's Telugu mixed English.

This scenario reminded many in the Tamil audience of a famous ('No English only Tamil') scene from Rajinikanth's Padikkadavan (1985), where Rajini gets stuck in a similar language problem and keeps smiling and replying with 'yes' and 'thank you' to, "Excuse me, can you tell me what time the play is going to start?"
