The first single from Mani Ratnam's upcoming movie Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 (PS-I) was unveiled in multiple languages this Sunday evening and the song titled Ponni Nadhi in Tamil, has already swooned avid music listeners in the language. Not only is the number an absolute gold from AR Rahman, it serves as an amazing entry into the Ponniyin Selvan world. 

Fans have also been expressing how the Ponni Nadhi track is the perfect example of Mani Ratnam - AR Rahman combo going strong even after 30 years [Mani Ratnam introduced AR Rahman in his 1992 film Roja and has since given multiple musical hits with the composer]. Ponni Nadhi is penned by Ilango Krishanan and crooned by AR Rahman. The number is picturized on Karthi's Vanthiyathevan character in the movie.
