Ayngaran snaps Arramabam

Ayngaran snaps Arramabam

Arrambam starring Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee directed by Vishnuvaradhan is one of the most awaited films which is set to hit the screens for Diwali. The post production work is happening in full swing. Ayngaran has snapped the distribution rights of NSC area (North Arcot-South Arcot-Chengalpet) which is the biggest area in Tamil Nadu. The makers are happy that all areas of the film has been sold out, at a high price. 

The film is likely to hit the screens on October 31. It will be censored by the third week of October. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is produced by AM Ratnam.

Rohit Shetty to remake Soodhu Kavvum

Soodhu Kavvum starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchitha Shetty was directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The super hit black comedy film is one of the most celebrated Tamil films in recent times. Rohit Shetty of 'Chennai Express' fame will be remaking the film in Hindi.

Rohit Shetty, Kannada film producer Rockline Venkatesh and Tamil actor Arun Pandiyan, who hold the Hindi remake rights will be jointly producing the film. Actor Imran Khan and Shraddha Kapoor are like to play the lead roles. The film will go on floors next year.

Thaman to score for Arya and Vijay Sethupathi

Producer Nemichand Jabak will be producing two films this year, one starring Arya and the other with Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Thaman has been roped in to score the music for both the films.

Arya's film is a big budget extravaganza to be directed by Magizh Thirumeni of Thadaiyara Thaakka fame. Shruthi Haasan is likely to pair opposite Arya. The film will go on floors from November. The cast and crew details to be announced soon.

Vijay Sethupathi's film titled 'Vanmam' will be directed by Jai Krishna. Kazhugu fame Krishna also plays the lead role. It is a big-budget movie which speaks about friendship laced with action and love. NR Raguhunandhan of 'Neerparavai' fame was initally roped in to score the music. He has been now replaced by Thaman.

Cheran's JKENV release date

JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai starring Sharwanand, Santhanam and Nithya Menen is directed by Cheran. Music by GV Prakash. The film is scheduled for release on November 15. The audio was released last month. The film touted to be a youth entertainer is produced by Cheran's home banner 'Dream Theatres'. It is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu.

Venkatesh 'Masala' Trailer

Masala is an upcoming Telugu film, which is a remake of 2012 Hindi film Bol Bachchan. Venkatesh and Ram are reprising the roles of Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan respectively. Anjali plays the female lead. Music by Thaman. The film directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar is slated for release in November.
