Dhanush is gearing up for his first direct Telugu debut with Sir and the movie which is titled Vaathi in Tamil has begun shooting today. Filming has commenced at Hyderabad and the first schedule is expected to wrap by this month end.
The movie written and directed by Venky Atluri of Rang De and Tholiprema fame discusses the flaws in the Indian education system and traces the ambitious journey of a common man, who tries to bring a revolution in the system.
Vaathi/Sir has Samyuktha Menon playing female lead and is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas. The technical crew of this film includes GV Prakash for music, Dinesh Krishnan for cinematography and Naveen Nooli for the edits.
