Telugu director Sukumar is currently on a success high from his recent release Pushpa: The Rise and the filmmaker recently sat down with 'Cinema Vikatan' for an interview. When asked which actor inspires him in Tamil cinema, Sukumar immediately replied Rajinikanth and like many in the film industry declared how big a fan he was of the Superstar.

Sukumar also shared an incident with Rajinikanth, which the director says was an 'unforgettable moment' for him and that the memory of it will stay 'lifelong with him'. Sukumar made his debut with the Telugu movie Arya in 2004 which tasted phenomenal success and when Rajinikanth was shooting for Enthiran in Hyderabad, the director had a chance to meet him on the sets.

Sukumar said that Rajinikanth praised his movie pointing out the details and when it was time for his shot, he asked Sukumar to have a seat till he returned. However Sukumar did not sit in front of Rajinikanth and the actor kept insisting the director to. Suddenly Rajini pulled a chair for the director and Sukumar said that he instinctively sat out of reflex because he didn't expect a superstar of his stature to personally pull a chair for him.

Sukumar further said that he was impressed by this humble personality and cherishes this memory even today.
