With new COVID curfews in place, theaters in Delhi being shut and a good movie like 83 struggling at the box-office, many filmmakers are backtracking on their scheduled theatrical releases. S.S. Rajamouli directed RRR was also rumoured to be postponing its January 7, 2022 release but the director has set things clear by stating that the movie will come out as planned in all languages.

Rajamouli has also pointed out that not just in India but overseas distributors have also invested heavily in the release of RRR, and that it would be impossible to move the release date at this point. Starring Ram Charan, JR. NTR, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran among others, RRR is a fictional story set in the Indian Independence era and is releasing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. 

The film is produced by DVV Entertainment and has MM Keeravani for music, Sabu Cyril for production design, KK Senthil Kumar for cinematography, Srinivas Mohan as VFX supervisor, Rama Rajamouli for costumes and Sreekar Prasad for the edits.
