As reported previously, actor Vijay has wrapped the shooting of Sun Pictures produced Beast before the weekend came to an end. The movie's producers shared an image of Vijay hugging film's director Nelson Dilipkumar to mark the occassion and with this, the film has also been wrapped.

Totued to be an action thriller on gold smuggling, Beast is scheduled to release in theaters in Summer, 2022. Vijay will take a break from shooting for two and a half months and begin his next project in March, 2022. 

Vijay's next is tentatively Thalapathy 66; Tollywood production house Sri Venkateswara Creations is bankrolling the project and Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally is directing it. Composer Thaman, Keerthy Suresh and Prakash Raj have also been linked to Thalapathy 66, with no official confirmations.
