Maaran is actor Dhanush's upcoming investigative thriller, directed by Karthick Naren and produced by Sathya Jyoti Films. Maaran's composer GV Prakash updated today that he has begun the background score work for the movie and that it will be an action-packed one.

Maaran has Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan playing journalists and actor Mahendran, a negative character. The film is expected to release directly on Disney Plus Hotstar OTT platform in January, 2022 for Pongal.
