Maanaadu is an upcoming political thriller starring Silambarasan TR and it has been announced that the movie will have a trailer release on Gandhi Jayanti i.e. October 2, 2021 (Saturday). Simbu had previously shared a picture of him from the dubbing studio, working for the trailer cut.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the movie is said to be in the time-loop genre and will see Simbu playing a character named Abdul Khaaliq. SJ Suryah plays the main antagonist in the film where as Kalyani Priyadarshan plays female lead. 

Maanaadu produced by Suresh Kamatchi has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music and is scheduled to release for Diwali in November, 2021.
