Director Prabhu Solomon best known for movies like Vikram starrer King (2002), Mynaa (2010), Kumki (2012) and Thodari (2016) starring Dhanush is currently awaiting the release of Kumki 2. Earlier this year, when his movie Kaadan starring Rana Daggubati released, the director had said this about his potential new project:

"..Up next, I really want to make a film that doesn’t need green screen and VFX."

Seems like this new film has begun the process of getting made. Cooku With Comali fame Ashwin Kumar who is currently shooting for his Kollywood debut Enna Solla Pogirai has signed with director Prabhu Solomon. Ashwin will be playing lead in Prabhu Solomon's new movie and official details are expected to be out soon.
