'Chennai 28' as 'Kirket' in Hindi

Chennai 28 directed by Venkat Prabhu is set to be remade in Hindi as 'Kirket'. The film will be produced by Vivek Rangachari, the producer of highly acclaimed 'Lunchbox'. Bejoy Nambiar of David fame will co-produce the film. Kirket will be directed by Yazad, a former assistant of Bejoy Nambiar. The film will star newcomers. Buzz is that Anirudh has been approached to score the music. He is yet to make the final call.

Gautham Karthik's film title retained

Gautham Karthik and Rakul Preet Singh play the lead roles in the Tamil remake of Telugu film 'Ala Modalaindi'. The film has been titled 'Ennamo Edho' in Tamil. It is directed by debutant Ravi Thyagarajan and has music by Imman.

The film faced trouble over the title as it was already registered by RS Infotainment which has produced films like Ko, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal and Neethane En Ponvasantham. The issue seems to have been sorted out and the film title has been retained. Director Ravi Thyagarajan had tweeted, "Title remains the same. Shooting is still left"

Nizhalgal Ravi in Karan Johar's film

Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor play the lead roles in Karan Johar's movie titled Gori Tere Pyar Mein. The romantic comedy film is directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar. Nizhalgal Ravi plays Imran Khan's dad in the film. He will be seen in the role of a Tamilian. The film is set to hit the screens in November.
