MGR - Will it see the light of the day?

Sundar C's 'Madha Gaja Raja' starring Vishal, Anjali and Varu Sarathkumar was set to hit the screens on September 6. The film release has been postponed indefinitely due to the finanacial troubles surrounding the film. Vishal who had acquired the distribution rights of the film was aggressively promoting the film.

Vishal has now opted out of the film's distribution and the original production house Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the film from Vishal and will now be releasing the film under GFC banner. The production house is planning to release the film on September 27 and is working towards bringing out the film on the targeted date. However an official confirmation is awaited.

Gayathri Raghuram in Vai Raja Vai

Gayathri Raghuram who had acted in films like Charlie Chaplin, Whistle and Vikatan is all set to don the greasepaint again for Aishwarya Dhanush's upcoming film 'Vai Raja Vai'. The actor who quit acting in 2003, has been choreographing for films since 2008. She had tweeted, "After 10 years, I'm acting in a movie. Very excited. Hope you all like me on screen again. I'm acting in my best friend Aishwarya Dhanush's movie vai raja vai. Just for my friend. I'm loving the team."

Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand play the lead roles. Director Vasanth will play the supporting cast. Music by Yuvan. VRV is produced by AGS Entertainments.

Naan director's next to start rolling

Director Jeeva Shankar who made his debut with Vijay Anthony's 'Naan' is all set to begin work on his next film titled Amara Kaaviyam. Arya's brother Sathya of 'Puthagam' fame will be play the lead role. The film is a teenage love story set in the backdrop of 1980's. The film will go on floors from October 20 in Ooty and major part of the film will be shot there. Jeeva Shankar would be handling the camera as well.

Chinmayi to tie the knot

Popular singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi is all set to tie the knot with Rahul Ravindran of Moscowin Kavery fame. Rahul is acting in both Tamil and Telugu films. He is playing an important role in Kirutiga Udayanidhi's 'Vanakkam Chennai'. Chinamyi's mother Padmahasini had tweeted, "I am extremely happy to announce that Rahul is my son-in-law to be." Rahul Ravindran has posted, "The wedding will be sometime early next year."
