The release date of Mohanlal's highly awaited magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham has been changed once again and the movie is now releasing in theaters on August 12, 2021. Co-written and directed by Priyadarshan, Marakkar also stars Keerty Suresh in the lead.

A period drama, Markkar has Mohanlal essaying the role of a Muslim naval chief of 16th century Kerala. The movie also stars Pranav Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Suneil Shetty, Arjun, Madhoo among others.
