Only few hours before, director PS Mithran had made an cryptic tweet informing fans about making an announcement on Karthi's next. However, the films title has been reveled even before the official announcement via outdoor promotions. 

The outdoor promotional posters of Karthi's upcoming film with PS Mithran has flooded online now. The film has been titled as Sardar. Rashi Khanna plays the female lead role. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and the movie is produced by Prince pictures.
