Amazon Prime Video takes down Nani's V over Sakshi Malik defamation case!

Amazon Prime Video has now removed actor Nani's V from their OTT platform after a Bombay High Court asked them to over a defamation case. Mumbai based actress Sakshi Malik had recently approached the court and sought removal of a scene from V, claiming that the Telugu movie used a portfolio picture of hers without her consent.

Sakshi Malik's picture was taken from her Instagram account and used in reference to a sex worker. Bombay HC on Wednesday restrained Venkateshwara Creations Pvt. Ltd. from releasing V for streaming until deletion of the said scene.

The Court also directed the defendants to take down the telecast of the film in all versions, irrespective of language and sub-titles, until the said scene is removed. V has been streaming on Amazon Prime Video since September, 2020 and is expected to return to the platform post the due edits.
