Sasikumar - Balu Mahendra's film clears censor

Veteran director Balu Mahendra's upcoming film 'Thalaimuraigal' has been censored with a clean 'U' certificate. The film is produced by Sasikumar's 'Company' Productions and Sasikumar will be seen in a cameo role in the film. Apart from directing Balu Mahendra has also acted in the film. Balu Mahendra has directed this film after seven years, his last film being 'Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam' starring Dhanush and Priyamani. Music by Isaignani Ilayaraja.

Lingusamy's Manja Pai shooting wrapped

Manja Pai starring Vimal, Rajkiran and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles is directed by Raghavan, a former assistant director of Sargunam of 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' fame. The film shooting has been wrapped. The film is likely to hit the screens in October. Music by Ghibran. Manja Pai is produced by Lingusamy's 'Thirupathi Brothers' jointly with A. Nandhakumar.

Gautham film faces title issue

Gautham Karthik and Rakul Preet Singh of 'Thadayara Thakka' fame play the lead roles in the Tamil remake of Telugu hit film 'Ala Modalaindi'. The film has been titled 'Ennamo Edho' in Tamil. It is directed by debutant Ravi Thyagarajan, and has music by Imman. Prabhu plays a pivotal role in the film.

The film title has been already registered by RS Infotainment which has produced films like Ko, Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal and Neethane En Ponvasantham. The latest we hear is that the production house has no plans of parting the tile. UTV's 'Purampokku' is also facing a similar issue over the title.

Vaibhav and Ramya Nambeesan team up!

Vaibhav and Ramya Nambeesan of 'Pizza' fame will be playing the lead role in an untitled film to be produced by a new production house Cameo films. The film went on floors recently. It will be directed by Shree and music will be scored by Thaman.
