Actor Silambarasan TR's upcoming film Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu recently had a teaser release, leaving many wondering if the film was inspired from Christopher Nolan's TENET.
Fans argued online that Maanaadu has been in the works way before TENET released and even dug up a tweet which shows Venkat Prabhu was working on the script of Maanaadu around the same time TENET, which Nolan had been working on since 2008 began pre-production.

Now the man of the hour himself has come forward with the statement that Maanaadu has no connection whatsoever with TENET. Venkat Prabhu even went as far as stating that he failed to understand TENET after watching it.
