Ever since Pa. Ranjith started riding the success vehicle in the Tamil film industry, talks of him collaborating with actor Vijay has done the rounds. Post the release of Kabali in 2016, Ranjith even felt the need to come out and clarify that he had not narrated a script to 'any actor' because of the expectations that were flying high.

Now, for the first time Ranjith has revealed that post his second consecutive film with Rajinikanth (Kaala which released in 2018), the director met actor Vijay and narrated him a super-hero story. In a recent interview he went on to say, "I want to work with all the leading stars. After Kaala, I met Vijay and narrated him a superhero subject. He also liked it. Let's see.."
