On Friday, Tamil cine industry's comedy cum character actor Soori was photographed visiting a police station at Chennai and it was confirmed that he had filed an FIR for being defrauded of Rs. 2.7 Cr. The police complaint was filed against retired IPS officer Ramesh Kudawla and financier Anbuvel Rajan, the former being the father of actor-producer Vishnu Vishal.

Soori and Vishnu Vishal have co-starred in several movies and Soori in his complaint has alleged that Ramesh Kudawla and Anbuvel Rajan had received the said amount from him on the pretext of repaying with a land of equivalent amount but have failed to do so for 5 years now.

Vishnu on his part has dismissed the claim as 'false allegations' and counter-claimed that it is infact Soori who has to return the advance money the actor received for a 2017 project titled Kavarimaan Parambarai, which was eventually dropped.
