One of the upcoming biographical films on Tamil Nadu's former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa is the A.L. Vijay directed Thalaivi which will see Kangana Ranaut reprise the late actress-politician's role in the movie. Recently, Thalaivi resumed shooting and earlier today, Kangana took to twitter to share some behind-the-scenes images from the sets.

Arvind Swami plays MGR in this movie which also stars Prakash Raj as Karunanidhi, actress Poorna as Sasikala, Bhagyashree as Sandhya, Jayalalithaa's mother,  Madhoo as Janaki Ramachandran and actor Jisshu Sengupta as Sobhan Babu who was once rumoured to be married to Jayalalitha. 

Baahubali writer K.V. Vijayendra Prasad has written for Thalaivi too while G.V. Prakash is composing the music. Thalaivi is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Indhuri and Sailesh Singh in association with T-Series.
