Vijay to go on a fast for Thalaivaa release

The release of Thalaivaa which was slated for release on August 9 was stalled in Tamil Nadu after a political outfit issued threats to theatre owners. The Thalaivaa Team is making all possible efforts to release the film in TN as early as possible. The team has sought an appointment with the Chief minister Jayalalitha and are waiting to meet her and discuss the issue in detail. The latest update on this front is that Thalaivaa crew has sought police permission to hold fast in city againt non-release of the movie. The fast would be led by Vijay.

Nayanthara's new film begins with Pooja

Nayanthara and Gopichand will play the lead roles in Jaya Balajee Real Media Pvt Ltd Production No. 5. The film pooja was held today at AVM Pillayar Temple. The film shooting will start in Switzerland from September 1. Prakash Raj plays a pivotal role. The film is directed by B. Gopal and music by Mani Sharma.

Pooja of 'Naan Kadavul' fame plays the lead role in Vidiyum Mun directed by Balaji K Kumar, who has the award-winning Hollywood film Nine Lives of Mara to his credit. How two women escape from four villains in a day is what the film is about. 

Malavika Kuttan, winner of a reality show in a Malayalam channel, plays the other woman with Pooja. Actors Naan Mahan Alla-fame Vinoth Kishan, Lakshmi Ramakrishna and John Vijay form the rest of the cast. Khayum Studios is producing the film.
