RJ Balaji joins Jai's Vadacurry
Jai and Swathi will play the lead roles in Vadacurry to be directed by Saravana Rajan, co-director of Venkat Prabhu. RJ Balaji has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film. The film shooting will start from August 19 in Chennai. The first schedule is expected to last for 20 days and major portions will be shot in this schedule. The film is produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Meeka Entertainment.

Sneha Prasanna to act together again!
Real life couple Sneha and Prasanna are likely to act together again in a film to be directed by Arun Vaidhyanathan, who earlier directed the couple in Achchamundu Achchamundu. The director had narrated a script and both of them seemed to have liked the script. The discussions are in the initial stages and nothing has been firmed up yet.
Vishwaroopam2 team camp at Kodaikanal
The shooting of Vishwaroopam 2 is progressing at a brisk pace. The team is currently shooting in Kodaikanal. Kamal, Andrea, Shekar Kapoor and Pooja Kumar are part of the shoot. Pooja Kumar has tweeted, "I'm in the hills of Kodaikanal and the views from here are breathtaking. Shooting with Kamal, Shekar Kapoor and Andrea." About 90% of the film shoot is complete and the film is nearing completion. Bollywood actress Waheeda Rehman has been roped in to play Kamal Hassan's mother in Vishwaroopam 2. Music score by Ghibran.
Paradesi gets 8 nominations at London Film Festival
Paradesi starring Atharva, Vedhika, Dhansika was directed by Bala. The critically acclaimed period drama 'Paradesi' has been nominated for 8 categories at the London International Film Festival which is set to begin on October 13. The various nominations for the film include Best Cinematographer, Best Costume Designer, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Film, Best Foreign Film, Best Director for a foreign film and Best Music Composer.
GV Prakash had scored the music and cinematorgraphy by Chezhiyan. Poornima Ramaswamy won the National Award for Best costume designer for 'Pardesi'. The results will be announced on October 18. The English version of the film has been titled Vagabond.
Akshay Kumar's 'Boss' Teaser Trailer
Boss is an upcoming Bollywood action drama film directed by Anthony D'Souza starring Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. It is apparently a remake of 2010 Malayalam action masala movie Pokkiri Raja. The makers plan to release the first trailer of Boss on August 27. The film is slated for October release.
