It has been 20 years since actor Madhavan made his debut in the Tamil film industry with Mani Ratnam's Alaipayuthey and recently he opened up on the famous 'train scene' from the movie. Since Madhavan was already married and his co-star Shalini was dating actor Ajith at that time, he revealed that both of them thought of their significant others during the proposal scene. 

Madhavan also went on to say that during his initial days in Chennai, the actor was helped a lot by Ajith and that both of them share a liking for similiar things. "There was a time when I traveled a lot, Ajith and I shared a lot of our mutual likings for flights and cars", said the actor who currently resides in Mumbai.
