Ilayaraja's Megha audio launch in London
Megha starring Ashwin Kakumanu of 'Mankatha' fame and newcomer Shrushti is directed by Karthik Rishi, a former assistant to Subramania Siva. Music score by Ilayaraja. The audio of the film is set to be launched in London on August 24. Yuvan has sung a song 'Chellam Konjum' in the film. Megha is produced by GB Studios Production.

Prasanna turns singer
Prasanna who plays the lead in Kalayana Samayal Sadham has lent his voice for a track Pallu Pona Rasa, composed by newcomer Arrora. The audio and trailer of the film was launched on August 2. Lekha Washington plays the female lead. The film is directed by R. S. Prasanna. KSS is produced by Arun Vaidyanathan and Ananth Govindan. Producer CV Kumar of Thirukumaran Entertainment has acquired the distribution rights of the film jointly with Abi TCS Studios.
Thalaivaa to get more screens
Thalaivaa is gearing up for a solo release in Tamil Nadu on August 9. The film is expected to release in 1000+ screens worldwide. In TN the film will release in more than 450 screens. Three most awaited films Vijay's Thalaivaa, SRK's 'Chennai Express' and Pawan Kalyan’s 'Atharintiki Daaredi' had announced its release on August 9. Now Pawan Kalyan’s film has postponed its release due to political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh. Since Atharintiki Daaredi has opted out of Eid release, Thalaivaa is likely to get more screens in AP, Bangalore and in key international market like US.
Fox Star Studios joins hands with CV Kumar
Fox Star Studios has entered into an alliance with Pizza fame producer, CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment for two exciting projects - Mundasupatti and V. Chitram. Mundasupatti and V. Chitram are two short films which are being made into feature films. V. Chitram is directed by Elan and Simha of 'Soodhu Kavvum' fame plays the lead role. Mundasupatti is directed by debutant Ram. Both the films will release in 2014.
