Short take on Forgotten

Forgotten (Korean) - Thriller,Mystery (Netflix)
Bharath Vijayakumar

This is one of those films that leaves you flummoxed for almost two thirds of its running time. There are twists in almost every other scene and you have all theories running in your mind. Sometimes too many twists can sort of put you off but over here there is this consistent tension and you really are kind of desperate to get to know what is happening. The solid performance of the lead is another reason that we remain invested and care for the character. The BG score keeps things exciting as well. A family moves to a new house and the youngest member who is on a medication for his anxiety starts seeing things and both he and us the audience are not sure as to which are real and which are a part of his imagination. Things turn more serious when his elder brother is kidnapped. The film gets heavier and kind of emotional towards the end as everything gets revealed. This is a film that will work for those who enjoy dark psychological thrillers!
