Mahesh Babu's film Sarileru Neekevvaru recently garnered a lot of attention after it made its Television premiere. At a time when most of the country is stuck at home, the movie is said to have registered a record Television Rating (TVR) of 23.4. The fact that March 25, 2020 when the film premiered was also Telugu New Year's day (Ugadi) seems to have helped the viewership as well. 

As per the BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council), Sarileru Neekevvaru's TVR is the highest-ever for a Mahesh Babu movie and beats Baahubali movies' premiere TRP in television history, thus becoming a record viewership in the last 15 years. The top 3 TVRs for the Telugu movies stands henceforth
