Just like Bollywood set-up a relief fund for daily workers affected due to the halt of films, TV and OTT production, Kollywood seems to be taking care of its own through the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI). A total of 23 unions belonging to different trades in the film and television industry are affiliated to FEFSI that has around 25,000 members and recently actor Suriya's family has made a generous donation of Rs. 10 lakh towards the benefit of the daily wage workers. 

The outbreak of Coronavirus COVID19 pandemic has the Indian film industry under complete shut-down since last week and the situation will remain the same until March 30, 2020.
