In a first, 5 PVR theater screens with a total of 1000 seats are being added to the Chennai Airport Terminal, one of the busiest terminals of India. A company called Olympia Group is adding this facility to the main airport of Tamil Nadu and reportedly it is being built at a cost of ₹250 crore. 

“Yes, We are the cinema partner..This facility will be operational by the second half of 2021,” Pramod Arora, chief growth and strategy officer of PVR Limited has been quoted by The Hindu as saying. He has also added,“The benefit of the Chennai airport is that it is part of the city..We are looking at 80% of people from the city and 20% of the transit passengers.”
