Udhayanidhi's IKK is 75% complete
Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal (IKK) starring Udhayanidhi, Santhanam and Nayanthara is directed by SR Prabhakaran of 'Sundarapandian' fame. The film shooting is in progress and about 75% of the film has been shot. The remaining portions will be completed in 15 days. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music for this romantic comedy film. IKK is produced by Red Giant Movies.
Vishal to team up with 'Engeyum Eppothum' director?
Vishal is currently shooting for Suseenthiran's Pandiyandu and eagerly awaiting the release of 'Pattathu Yaanai' which is set to hit the screens on July 26. Vishal is likely to team up with director Saravanan of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame for a new project. Vishal will be producing the film under his home banner Vishal Film Factory and the project is likely to take off in 2014. Saravan is currently busy with Vikram Prabhu's 'Ivan Vera Mathiri'.

Five days left for Mysskin
Mysskin is currently busy with his own production 'Onaiyum Aatukuttiyum' starring Vazukku En fame Sri in the lead. Mysskin plays a pivotal role in the film. The shooting is currently in progress and the film is likely to be wrapped soon with just five days of shoot left. The director is said to have shot a majority of the portions in the dark. Ilayaraja is doing the background score for this action thriller. The film is produced by Mysskin's Lone Wolf Productions.
Kasthuri Raja starts work on his new film
Director Kasthuri Raja is all set to direct a new film titled 'Kasu Pannam Thuttu' (KPT) which is named after the popular song from Soodhu Kavvum. The film will star newcomers in the lead roles. The story is set in the slums of Chennai and is about the coming of age of a group of youngsters. KPT will be produced by Kasthuri Raja’s home production RK Productions. Music by newcomer Sanjith, a former assistant of Rehana.
Vaalu audio in September?
Vaalu starring Simbu, Hansika, Santhanam and VTV Ganesh is directed by debutant Vijay Chander. The shooting of the film resumed recently in Hyderabad after it was stalled temporarily due to financial issues. Buzz is that the audio of the film will be launched on September 6. However there is no official confirmation on the same.
SS Thaman is scoring the music. A single track 'Lovendravan Nee Yaruda' was launched on February 14 this year. The long in the making film is slated for Diwali release.
