Soodhu Kaavum Telugu remake rights sold
Soodhu Kavvum starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles was directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film has been declared a big hit. The Hindi remake rights of the film was sold for a record price. The latest we hear is that the Telugu remake rights have been sold to PVP Cinemas which is currently producing Selvaragavan's Irandam Ulagam. The film was produced by Thirukumaran Entertainments and released by Studio Green.

Andrea in Malayalam remake
Rajeev Ravi's 'Annayum Rasoolum' which won critically acclaim in Mollywood is likely to be remade in Tamil soon. Fahad Fasil and Andrea Jeremiah played the lead roles in the original. Andrea is likely to play the female lead in the Tamil remake of the film. Udayanidhi's Red Giant Movies is in talks with the makers to acquire the Tamil remake rights. Nothing has been firmed up yet.
Lyricist Vaali's last song
Legendary lyricist Vaali who was suffering from lung related issues breathed his last on July 18th. Vaali, 81, is one of the most respected and revered lyricists, penned lyrics for over 10,000 songs in a career that spans over five decades. The late lyricist had written his last song for Vasantha Balan's 'Kaaviya Thalaivan'. He had penned a romantic number "Kodaali mudichu pottu" for the film. Kaaviya Thalaivan features Siddharth, Vedhika, Prithviraj and Anaika in the lead roles. Music by AR Rahman. The film is being produced by Y Not Studios.
IVM nearing completion
Ivan Vera Mathiri (IVM) starring Vikram Prabhu and Surabhi in the lead roles is directed by Saravanan of 'Engeyum Eppothum' fame. Vamsi and Ganesh Venkatraman play pivotal roles. The first look posters of the film have garnered a good response from the audience. The film shooting is almost complete except for the songs. Music by Sathya. The film is gearing up for release in September. IVM is jointly produced by Lingusamy and UTV.
Sigaram Thodu second schedule wrapped
Sigaram Thodu starring Vikram Prabhu and Monal Gajjar in lead roles is directed by Gaurav Narayanan of 'Thoonganagaram' fame. The team had wrapped the second schedule of the film which commenced on July 1. Sathyaraj plays Vikram Prabhu's father in the film. Sigaram Thodu is produced by UTV.
Dimple Pimple song promo from Ram Charan's 'Yevadu'
