The first look of Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited crime drama Kurup is out. Dulquer essays the role of Sukumara Kurup, Kerala’s most-wanted criminal. In the poster, Dulquer looks stylish in a retro look. Directed by Srinath Rajendran, the film also features Indrajith Sukumaran, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko and Sunny Wayne in pivotal roles.

Kurup will see Dulquer playing the real-life character of Sukumara Kurup, a murderer from Kerala who is still on the list of absconding accused since January 1984. Sukumara Kurup allegedly burnt a man called Chacko to death 33 years ago, while attempting to faking his own death for insurance money. The story of the movie is written by Jithin K Jose, while the script written by Daniell Sayooj Nair and KS Aravind.

Kurup is Dulquer's second project as a producer. His company Wayfarer Films Production had earlier produced Maniyarayile Ashokan.
