Manisha Yadav in Vetrimaran's film

Vetrimaran and Dhanush are all set to team up for a new project which is likely to start rolling from November. The pre-production work of the film is currently in progress. The team is in the process of finalising the cast. The director had done a screen test with Manisha Yadav of Vazhakku En fame for Dhanush's film. However it is not confirmed whether Manisha will play the lead opposite Dhanush. Buzz is that Manisha has been roped in as the female lead for another film to be directed by Vetrimaran. However official confirmation is awaited on the same.

Manisha's upcoming films include Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer, Jannal Oram and Pattaya Kelappanum Pandiya.

Sarath Kumar gets ready for a sequel

Aei starring Sarath Kumar, Namitha, Vadivelu and Kalabhavan Mani was a successful film which hit the screen in 2004. A Venkatesh who directed Aei is all set to make a sequel to the film starring Sarath Kumar in the lead. The work for the sequel will begin soon. The director has revealed that Sarath Kumar will portray four looks in the film. The film will have a new female lead and Namitha will not be part of the sequel. The rest of the cast and crew are being finalised. The film is likely to go on floors in a couple of months. 

Vaali in critical condition

The condition of veteran lyricist Vaali, who was hospitalised more than a month ago, is said to be critical. According to sources, Vaali's health deteriorated last night and he has been put on a ventilator. He is suffering from lung related problems.

Kamal Haasan, A R Rahman and others visited Vaali at the hospital recently, it is learnt. Vaali last took part in the release function of his book Azhagia Singar in the first week of June. A day after that, he composed a song for Vasanthabalan's upcoming film Kaavia Thalaivan.
