Director Mysskin recently kick-started the shooting of Thupparivaalan 2 in Bristol on Monday. The team has planned a 40-day long schedule where a major portion of the film would be shot along with some action sequences. The shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. 

The film is a sequel to Thupparivalan which released in 2017 and was a critical and commercial success at the box office. In the sequel, Vishal and Prasanna will be reprising the role of detective Kaniyan Poogundran and his partner Manohar respectively from the original. Debutant Ashya plays the female lead. Actor Prasanna shared few stills from the location and captioned it as "The Master at work!". (See below)

Nassar, Rahman, Gautami and Suresh Chakravarthy are also part of the cast. Thupparivalan 2 has music by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja and cinematography by Nirav Shah.
