Vijay Sethupathi not part of Jigarthanda
Kollywood rumour mills are abuzz with news that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped to play the villain in Karthik Subbaraj's upcoming film 'Jigarthanda'.
Vijay Sethupathi is not part of the film and the actor himself has confirmed the news. His upcoming projects include Rummy, Pannayaram Padminiyum, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Sangudevan.
Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon play the lead roles in Jigarthanda. The film shooting is happening in Madurai.

Hansika joins Maan Karate team
Maan Karate starring Siva Karthikeyan and Hansika is directed by AR Murugadoss's assistant Thirukumaran. The film had a formal pooja launch on July 10. The team held a press meet yesterday to announce the launch of the film.
A photoshoot was done with the lead pair Siva Karthikeyan and Hansika. Hansika had tweeted, "Started with "Maan Karate" yesterday, photo shoot done well. Glad things turned down well with the horrible sickness I'm having. Will power! Helps!" Music by Anirudh. Maan Karate is produced by AR Murugadoss and Escape Artistes Motion Pictures.
Priyamani denies doing Anamika
A section of media had reported that Priyamani will play a cameo role in 'Anamika', which has Nayanthara in the lead. The movie is the remake of Bollywood film 'Kahaani'. However, Priyamani has denied doing the film and she has stated that she has not been approached for the film. Meanwhile the shooting of Anamika is progressing well. The film is expected to hit the screens in October.
Biriyani talkie portions completed
Venkat Prabhu's 'Biriyani' is one of the most awaited films this year. Karthi, Hansika and Premgi Amaren play the lead roles. The latest we hear is that the talkie portions of the film has been completed. The film is almost complete except for a song which would be shot in mid July. Music by Yuvan. The film is slated for release in August.
