Siva Karthikeyan, Hansika starrer  Maan Karate began today with a formal pooja. Siva Karthikeyan, AR Murugadoss, Satish, Anirudh, director Thirukumaran were present at the film's pooja event. Maan Karate is directed by AR Murugadoss's assistant Thirukumaran and jointly produced by AR Murugadoss and Escape Artistes Motion Pictures. Music by Anirudh.

Hansika will start shooting for her portions first while Siva Karthikeyan will join the team from the first week of August. The shooting will take place at Chennai, Bangalore and Athirapally.

The first look of Nayanthara in Sekhar Kammula`s 'Anamika' is out. The film is a remake of Bollywood film Kahaani starring Vidya Balan in the lead role. The first look reveals an intense Nayanthara. The film is shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The film shoot is currently in progress and is happening in Hyderabad.

Nayanthara portrays the lead protagonist going in search for her missing husband. She will not be seen as a pregnant woman as essayed by Vidya Balan in the original. Though the storyline would be the same some changes have been made to the plot. Vaibhav plays a pivotal role. Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings are jointly producing Anamika.
