Shiva's 'Sonna Puriyadhu' changes hands

Shiva's 'Sonna Puriyadhu' changes hands

Sonna Puriyadhu is a comedy caper starring Shiva and Vasundhara Kashyap in lead roles. The film is set to hit the screens in July. Rama Narayanan's Sri Thenandal Pictures will be releasing the film. Studio Green which had initially acquired the distribution rights has opted out for reasons unknown. Similarly, Suseenthiran's 'Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer' which was acquired by Studio Green is now set to be released by Red Giants.

Sonna Puriyadhu is directed by debutant Krishnan Jayraj. Music has been scored by Yatish Mahadev. The film is produced by 360 Degree Film Corp.

Dhanush joins Nayyandi team in Pollachi

Dhanush and Nazriya Nazim of 'Neram' fame play the lead roles in Nayyandi directed by Sargunam. Dhanush has joined the team for the shoot in Pollachi. He had tweeted, "In pollachy with my super fun director sarkunam and my buddy DOP velraj. Shoots going on super smoothly. Nearing completion." 

Nayyandi is a village based romantic comedy. Dhanush plays the role of a lamp vendor called Chinna Vandu who is based in Kumbakonam. His love interest is a girl who is pursuing dentistry.

Siva Karthikeyan's 'Maan Karate' to start rolling

Siva Karthikeyan after wrapping Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam will start shooting for his next film Maan Karate. Hansika plays the female lead. The film will start rolling from July 10 after a formal pooja. Hansika will start shooting for her portions first while Siva Karthikeyan will join the team from the first week of August. The shooting will take place at Chennai, Bangalore and Athirapally.

The film will be directed by AR Murugadoss's assistant Thirukumaran. Music by Anirudh. Maan Karate will be produced by AR Murugadoss and Escape Artistes Motion Pictures.

Thirukumaran Entertainments next starts rolling

Thegidi starring Ashok Selvan of 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Pizza 2' fame and Janani Iyer went on floors today. The film is directed by debutant Ramesh. Music by Niwas. The film is produced by ThiruKumaran Entertainments. Camera will be cranked by Dinesh Krishnan and editing by Leo John Paul.

It's Harris again for Udhayanidhi!

Udhayanidhi Stalin after wrapping SR Prabakaran's 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal' will start shooting for his third film titled 'Nanbenda' to be directed by Jagadish, an associate of director Rajesh. Santhanam plays a pivotal role. Harris Jayaraj is set to score the music for Udayanidhi's film for the third time.

Anirudh for Santhanam's new film

Santhanam plays the lead role in "Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham" to be directed by Srinath of 'Muthirai' fame. Anirudh is set to score the music for the film. The film is a remake of SS Rajamouli's Telugu film 'Maryada Ramanna'. The movie will go on floors by July end.
