If one may recall, actor Rajinikanth had donated Rs. 50 lakh towards the Gaja Cyclone Relief through his Rajini Makkal Mandram, when the devastating cyclone took Tamil Nadu by storm in 2018. As a part of this, ten families whose homes went beyond repair in the natural disaster were promised new homes and earlier today they were invited to Rajini's residence in Chennai and were handed keys to their new residence. 

Each of these homes were built within a square feet area of 218 over the past five months and cost Rs. 1.85 lakhs. "You have faced too many difficulties because of the Gaja storm. It was an unexpected natural outbreak..Do not worry too much.. Everything will be alright one day..", said Rajini as he personally met the families and presented them the keys.
