It looks like a season for South Indian movies to grab the attention of Pan-Indian audiences. While Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is experiencing a good reception from Telugu industry, it’s time for Mammootty’s Malayalam movie Mamangam to have its spell casted now.
The film set against the backdrops of 16the century is based on the rivalry that happens between two groups during a particular festival, which happens once in 12 years. While the film’s teaser in Malayalam has been already unveiled on September 29, the other versions (Tamil, Telugu & Hindi) will have it released tomorrow (October 4).
The film’s release is tentatively scheduled for this year end simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film will also throw lights on Kalaripayattu, which is one of the world’s most ancient form of martial arts. The film is directed by M Padma Kumar and is produced by Venu Kunnappilly.
