The second schedule of 'Sigaram Thodu' starring Vikram Prabhu and Monal Gajjar directed by Gaurav Narayanan commenced today in Chennai. The team will be shooting for 10 days.
Sonu Nigam croons for Vijay
Vijay is currently shooting for Jilla. The next schedule of the film will begin this week. Imman who is scoring the music for the film had recently recorded a melody track with Sonu Nigam. Vijay, Mohanlal, Kajal Agarwal and Mahat Ragavendra play the lead roles. The film is directed by Nesan and produced by RB Choudary.
Vaalu shooting resumes
Simbu's Vaalu had come to a halt due to financial problems. The actor had resumed shooting for the film. The film shooting is currently happening in Hyderabad. A fight sequence is currently being canned. Vaalu is a comedy entertainer directed by debutante Vijay Chander. Simbu, Santhanam and Hansika play the lead roles. Music by Thaman.

Jai's Saraswathi Sabatham nearing completion
Saraswathi Sabhatham is a comedy caper directed by debutante director Chandru starring Jai, Niveda Thomas of 'Poraali' fame, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Subbu Panchu in the lead roles. About 80% of the film shooting has been wrapped. According to sources, the makers are planning to release the film in August if all goes well. The film is produced by AGS Entertainments.
Red Giants next release
Udhayanidhi Stalin has announced that Red Giants next release will be Suseenthiran's Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer'. He had tweeted, "Red Giants next release will be director Suseendhran's 'Aadhalaal Kaadhal Seiveer'. Will announce the release date soon." Though Studio Green had initially acquired the distribution rights of the film finally it is Red Giants who will be releasing the film. The reason behind Studio Green opting out is not known.
AKS is a romance film starring debutant Santhosh Ramesh and Manisha Yadav of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame in the lead roles. Yuvan has scored the music.
Nayyandi talkie portions completed
Dhanush 'Nayyandi' has completed its talkie portions apart from the songs, which would be picturised soon. A 25 day schedule has been planned to shoot the songs with the lead pair Dhanush and Nazriya Nazim of 'Neram' fame. Nayyandi is a village based romantic comedy directed by Sargunam. Dhanush plays the role of a lamp vendor called Chinna Vandu who is based in Kumbakonam. His love interest is a girl who is pursuing dentistry.
AR Murugadoss to do a Hindi film for Fox Star Studios
AR Murugadoss has been signed by Fox Star Studio to direct a Hindi film next year (2014). This film will mark his third project in B-Town following Ghajini and Akshay Kumar's Pistol. Fox Star Studios had made a three film deal with Murugadoss and had produced Engeyum Eppodhum and Vathikuchi. The third film Raja Rani directed by Atlee starring Arya and Nayanthara is slated for release in September. AR Murugadoss after wrapping Pistol is set to team up with Vijay again for a new project in the beginning of next year.
