A 15 second video featuring A.R. Rahman was unveiled with music composer asking, "What is Thaalam?". Apparently, it is a precursor to a YouTube film from the composer which will be launched tomorrow i.e. August 28, 2019 and will take the viewers on a 1000 story journey into Kerala, India.

Thaalam has also been described as a story of 'spirit of humanity' and comes with the tagline #indiaonaboat.
