Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most sought after actors in the film industry, enthralling a global fanbase. The actor who has made his debut in Tollywood with the magnum-opus 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' has already signed his second film titled 'Uppena'. According to reports, Sethupathi will be playing the role of an antagonist. The actor has joined the team to shoot for his portions.

Uppena marks the acting debut of Chiranjeevi's nephew, Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty. The film directed by Buchi Babu Sana, a former associate of Sukumar. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music.
