Vaalu starring Simbu, Hansika and Santhanam is a comedy entertainer directed by debutant Vijay Chander. The film shooting was stalled temporarily due to financial issues. The issue has been sorted out and the shooting is likely to resume soon. The film is set to hit the screens on August 15 for Independence Day. The audio of the film will be out next month. Music by SS Thaman.

Siddharth is on cloud nine following the success of his recent film 'TVSK' directed by Sundar C. The film hit the screens on June 14. Siddharth had tweeted, "TVSK is officially my biggest first week earner in the south with over Rs. 10cr net at the TN domestic box office alone." Siddharth is currently shooting for Karthik Subbaraj's 'Jigarthanda' and would be teaming up with Vasantha Balan for Kaaviya Thalaivan.
