Actor Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 with director Shankar is all set to resume shooting from August 19, 2019 and at this time, it is being reported that the film's cinematographer may have been replaced. Though there are no official confirmations, it is being suggested that cinematographer Rathnavelu has now stepped into the shoes of Ravi Varman. The delay in the film's shooting is likely to have caused the switch. 

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal, Siddarth, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Priya Bhavani Shankar among others, Indian 2 will see the return of Kamal Haasan as the vigilante 'Senapathy' and the film has Anirudh for music. The upcoming movie is a production venture of Lyca Productions banner and is expected to release in 2020.
