After Maharishi, Superstar Mahesh Babu has started shooting for his next film titled Sarileru Neekevvaru directed by Anil Ravipudi.  The director surprised everyone by posting interesting updates about the film on his social media page. He has revealed Mahesh Babu's character name in the film and that the makers are planning to release the film for Sankranthi 2020.

“Superstar @urstrulymahesh garu turns into Major Ajay Krishna for #SarileruNeekevvaru! #sankranthi2020 Operation started in kashmir (sic),” tweeted Anil with a picture of Ajay Krishna’s name badge.

Mahesh Babu will be seen portraying Major Ajay Krishna and the film shooting is currently underway in Kashmir. He is essaying the role of an army officer for the first time in his career. Rashmika Mandanna plays the leading lady opposite Mahesh Babu. Yesteryear actress Vijayashanti is set to make a comeback to the big screen with Sarileru Neekevvaru. Ramya Krishnan, Rajendra Prasad, Rao Ramesh and Jagapathi Babu are also part of the cast. The film is jointly produced by Dil Raju.
