Drums Shivamani turns music director

Drums Shivamani turns music director

Popular percussionist and drummer Sivamani is all set to don a new avatar as music composer. He will be scoring the music for Arima Nambi. Shivamani who has immense musical talent is all excited to debut as music composer. He has already composed four tunes for the film and is set to record the first song in Los Angeles.

Vikram Prabhu and Priya Anand play the lead roles. The film is directed by Anand Shankar, a former assistant director of AR Murugadoss. Arima Nambi is produced by Kalaipuli S. Dhanu.

Gautham Karthik busy shuffling between his projects

Gautham Karthik is currently busy shooting for Sippai and the Tamil remake of Telugu film 'Ala Modalaindi'. The actor has wrapped the first schedule of 'Ala Modalaindi' remake directed by Ravi Thyagarajan where he pairs opposite Rakul Preeth Singh. Gautham has joined the Sippai team for the next schedule today. Sippai is directed by Saravanan of Silambattam fame and Lakshmi Menon plays the female lead. The actor is yet to begin the shoot for Vai Raja Vai to be directed by Aishwariya Dhanush.

Kazhugu director's next

Director Sathya Siva of 'Kazhugu' fame is working on his next film, which is titled 'Sivappu'. The movie is based on the lives of Sri Lankan immigrants. Navin Chandra and Rupa Manjari play the lead roles. Music is by Sathya and camera is cranked by Madhu Ambat. The movie is produced by Muktha Entertainment.

Anirudh back to work

Anirudh had recently left to Geneva for the success meet of Ethir Neechal organised by Vendhar Movies. The composer is back to work after a few days of break. Anirudh had tweeted, "Had a super break in Europe with Siva Kartikeyan and actor Sathish. Couldn't stop laughing throughout the trip. Back to work!" He is currently working on the music of Vannakkam Chennai directed by Kirutiga Udayanidhi. The album is likely to be out this month.

Thalaivaa teams lodges police complaint against piracy

The audio of the Vijay's 'Thalaivaa' is set to be launched on June 21. The album has six tracks. The song "Vanganna Vanakamganna" sung by Vjiay and Santhanam was leaked online. Following this, producer Chandraprakash Jain and director Vijay met the Commissioner of Police in Chennai yesterday and filed a police complaint demanding necessary action to be taken.

Bairiyaa song from Prabhu Deva's 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya'

'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' is an upcoming Bollywood film directed by Prabhu Deva. Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan play the lead roles in the film. The film is produced by Tips Films and is set to release on July 19 worldwide. Check out 'Bairiyaa' song from the film!
