Bharat Day 5 Box Office: Salman Khan's film surpasses Rs. 150 cr mark, Real test begins from Monday

Bharat starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles hit the screens on June 5 on the occasion of Eid. Bharat opened to mixed reactions from audiences and critics alike, but that did not stop the film from setting the cash registers ringing. The film has been lapped up by family audience. Bharat has raked in Rs. 150.10 cr in its extended five day weekend. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures of Bharat on his Twitter page.

 

#Bharat Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr, Fri 22.20 cr, Sat 26.70 cr, Sun 27.90 cr. Total: ₹ 150.10 cr. India biz... After a glorious start, #Bharat needs to score on weekdays... Mon-Thu biz will give an idea of lifetime biz... Will emerge second highest grosser of 2019 today [Day 6].

 

The film recorded opening day collections of Rs. 41.50 crore, making it the second highest first day earnings of all time for a Hindi film. Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan that earned Rs. 48.27 crore holds the record for the highest opening day collection in Bollywood. 

 

Bharat crossed Rs. 100 cr mark on Day 4. It marks Salman Khan's 14th film to have achieved this feat in a row. The list includes Dabangg, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Jai Ho, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tubelight, Tiger Zinda Hai and Race 3.

 

 

Bharat continues to reign at the Indian box office. However the real test begins from today. We need to wait and watch if the film's success streak will continue during the weekdays as well.
