Samantha to pair with Vijay?

Vijay is set to team up with director AR Murugadoss after wrapping Jilla. The project is likely to kickstart early next year. The latest buzz surrounding the project is that Samantha has been approached to play the female lead opposite Vijay. However there is no official confirmation from the team. 

Samantha who is a busy bee in Tollywood will start shooting for Lingusamy's project in Tamil opposite Suriya from August. She has also stopped signing new films currently as her plate is quite full for now. We need to wait and see if Samantha would have the required dates to accommodate this project.

Sunder Ramu joins Udhayanidhi Stalin for IKK

Ace photographer Sundar Ramu of Mayakkam Enna and 3 fame will be playing a key role in Udayanidhi’s film 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal'. The film shooting is currently happening in Coimbatore. Sunder Ramu has joined the team for the shoot.

Udayanidhi Stalin had tweeted, "Finally got to act with my friend Sunder Ramu for Idhu Kadhirvelan Kadhal! Having so much fun shooting a very serious scene." Nayanthara plays the female lead. IKK is directed by SR Prabhakaran and music by Harris Jayaraj.

Kaaviya Thalaivan cast announced

Vasanthabalan's period film 'Kaaviya Thalaivan' will start rolling soon. Producer Sashikanth has revealed the cast details in his microblog. He had tweeted, "Kaaviya Thalaivan Principal Cast - Siddharth, Prithviraj, Vedhika, Anaika(intro), Nasser, Thambhi Ramaya". The film is produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios. Music by AR Rahman. Nirav Shah handles the camera.

Ghajini actress Jiah Khan commits suicide

Bollywood actor Jiah Khan has allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Juhu, Mumbai late Monday night. Police said Jiah's body was found by her mother at 11pm. No suicide note was found. 

The 25-year-old actor made her acting debut in the controversial Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd where she acted opposite Amitabh Bachchan. She then appeared alongside Aamir Khan in A.R. Murugadoss’ Ghajini (2008). Later she appeared in Sajid Khan’s multi starrer comedy Housefull (2010). This was her last film.

'Chellam Konjum Song' Special Teaser

Megha starring Ashwin Kakumanu of ‘Mankatha’ fame and newcomer Shrushti is directed by Karthik Rishi, a former assistant to Subramania Siva. Music score by Ilayaraja. Yuvan Shankar Raja has crooned a song in this movie. Checkout the teaser of 'Chellam Konjum Song' song by Yuvan.
